Bugpot vs Marker.io
Looking for a Marker.io alternative?
Marker.io is a solid visual feedback tool and plenty of teams get on fine with it. Here’s where Bugpot does things differently, where Marker.io still has the edge, and what both actually cost once you add it up.
No card needed.
Why teams look for a Marker.io alternative
Most people land here for one of two reasons. Marker.io’s Starter plan doesn’t include console logs or network requests, so technical reports still mean a follow-up message to the reporter. Or the price jumps hard the moment a second user or more than ten guests joins.
Bugpot includes console logs, network requests and full environment capture on every plan, including the cheapest one. It won’t suit everyone, though. Marker.io’s Team and Business plans add things Bugpot doesn’t do yet, like full session replay and SAML single sign-on. The table below is the honest version of both.

Who should pick which
Neither tool fits every team
Pick Bugpot if
- You want console logs, network requests and environment data on every plan, not just the top one.
- You’d rather pay by website than by seat, so adding another developer doesn’t add another invoice line.
- You want AI-assisted triage and a REST API without needing an enterprise quote.
Pick Marker.io if
- You need full session replay: watching back what the reporter did rather than reading logs.
- You’re already committed to Jira and want its native issue sync today.
- You need SAML SSO or formal SOC 2 Type 2 documentation for a security review.
FAQ
Common questions
Is Bugpot cheaper than Marker.io?
At the entry tier, yes. Bugpot Solo is £14.99/mo. Marker.io Starter is $39/mo billed annually, about £30/mo at October 2026 exchange rates, or $59/mo paid monthly. Bugpot also includes console logs and network requests at that price; Marker.io doesn’t add those until Team.
Does Bugpot have session replay like Marker.io Team?
No. Bugpot captures a rolling buffer of console errors, network requests and the full environment (browser, OS, viewport, URL) in the moments before a reporter submits, but it doesn’t record a video of their session. If you specifically need to watch a session back, Marker.io’s Team plan does that.
Can I move my team from Marker.io to Bugpot?
There’s no automated importer between the two. Swapping the widget is a single script tag, usually a few minutes of work. You’ll need to recreate your custom issue types and saved views in Bugpot’s project settings, since those don’t transfer automatically.
Does Bugpot offer a free trial?
Yes, 14 days on Solo and Studio, no card needed. Marker.io’s trial runs 15 days, also with no card required.
Which Bugpot plan should I start on?
Solo if you work alone on up to three websites. Studio if you need five seats and daily automated website checks. Agency if you’re managing up to 50 client sites and want the REST API and audit log.
