Send Bugpot reports to Microsoft Teams

The Microsoft Teams integration posts Bugpot reports as adaptive cards to the channel you pick, with buttons to change status without leaving Teams.

Status pills flow both ways.

How the sync works

Two-way sync, not a fire-and-forget webhook

Bugpot writes the report into Microsoft Teams and then watches for changes coming back — status, comments and closes — so the two systems stay in step without anyone re-typing anything.

Outbound

Bugpot → Microsoft Teams

Reports post to the channel as adaptive cards with title, priority, environment and the annotated screenshot inline.

Inbound

Microsoft Teams → Bugpot

Replies in the card thread post back into the Bugpot report; the built-in buttons change status.

Field map

What lands where

Every Bugpot field has a home in Microsoft Teams. The defaults are sensible; you can remap any of them from the workspace settings if your setup names things differently.

Setup

Five steps, about five minutes

The whole thing runs through OAuth — you don’t paste tokens, and Bugpot only requests the scopes it needs to create issues and read status changes.

  1. In Bugpot, open Settings → Integrations and click Connect Microsoft Teams.

  2. Authorise Bugpot to post to your workspace.

  3. Pick the channel that Bugpot should post to — one per workspace or one per issue type.

  4. Choose which events post: new reports only, or new + status changes.

  5. Send a test report and confirm the message with the screenshot arrives in the right channel.
